1. About us

The website resincoatingsdirect.co.uk and its online store (the "Services") are operated by Resin Coatings Direct (a trading name of Express Matting Services Ltd) ("we", "us", "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms"), together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Return and Refund Policy, apply to your use of the Services and to any order you place with us. Please read them carefully before ordering. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

2. Using our Services

You must be at least 18 years old to place an order. You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information when ordering or creating an account, and you are responsible for keeping your account login details secure.

3. Our products

We sell resin flooring products, floor paints, coatings and related supplies. We make every effort to describe and display our products accurately. Colours shown on screen may vary slightly from the actual product depending on your device settings. Product images may be for illustration, and packaging may change from time to time.

Many of our products are chemical products. Always read the product label, technical data sheet and safety data sheet before use, and follow the manufacturer's application and safety instructions.

4. Orders

When you place an order, you are making an offer to buy. We will email you to acknowledge your order; our acceptance takes place, and a contract is formed, when we dispatch the goods or send a dispatch confirmation. We may decline an order, for example if a product is out of stock, if there is an obvious pricing error, or if we cannot deliver to your address. If we cannot accept your order after payment, we will refund you in full.

5. Prices and payment

All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT at the current rate. Delivery charges are shown separately at checkout before you pay (see our Shipping Policy). The price you pay is the price shown at checkout when you place your order.

Payment is taken at the time of order and processed securely through Shopify's checkout. The payment methods we accept are shown at checkout. We do not store your full card details.

If we discover an obvious error in the price of a product, we will contact you before accepting your order to ask whether you wish to continue at the correct price or cancel.

6. Delivery

We deliver to addresses in the United Kingdom only. Delivery charges, handling times and estimated delivery times are set out in our Shipping Policy. Delivery times are estimates. Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered to you or to someone you nominate. Ownership passes to you once we have received full payment.

7. Cancellations, returns and refunds

If you are a consumer, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods. Full details, including conditions and exceptions, are set out in our Return and Refund Policy.

8. Faulty or damaged goods

If goods are faulty, damaged or not as described, you have legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Please contact us at sales@resincoatingsdirect.co.uk as described in our Return and Refund Policy.

9. Our liability

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable, for losses arising from failure to follow product instructions or safety guidance, or for business losses (such as loss of profit or business interruption) where you buy for business purposes.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

10. Intellectual property

All content on the Services, including text, images, logos and design, is owned by or licensed to Express Matting Services Ltd and is protected by UK and international intellectual property laws. You may not copy or reuse it without our written permission. Product names and trademarks of third-party manufacturers belong to their respective owners.

11. Third-party tools and links

The Services may include links to or tools provided by third parties. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party websites or tools, and you use them at your own risk.

12. Relationship with Shopify

Our store is powered by Shopify. Any sales and purchases you make through the Services are made directly with Express Matting Services Ltd. Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of sales between you and us.

13. Privacy

We handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

14. Prohibited use

You must not use the Services for any unlawful purpose, to transmit false or misleading information, to interfere with the security or operation of the Services, or to scrape, copy or misuse the content of the Services.

15. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control. If such an event affects your order, we will contact you as soon as possible, and you may cancel and receive a refund for goods not yet delivered.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The Terms in force at the time you place your order will apply to that order.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts of your home country. If you have a complaint, please contact us first at sales@resincoatingsdirect.co.uk and we will try to resolve it.
